Founded in 2006, Heart Productions brings together a uniquely talented group of specialists, fuelled by their passion for everything LIVE. They work with some of the world’s leading brands helping them make big ideas happen in the real world. As an independent, fully integrated, live events and experiential agency, they are experts in making ‘moments that matter’. But within their work, Heart Productions recognise the impact the event sector can have on the environment.
After engaging Event Cycle to assist with the redistribution of 370 seat cushions, we were glad to help them with their commitment of continually improving and reducing their environmental impact.
Life on the farm
After receiving a previous donation of metal chairs from Event Cycle, it was only fitting that Stepney City Farm were able to benefit from the 50 seat cushions they reserved.
Stepney City Farm is a three acre working farm; a rural oasis, in the heart of Tower Hamlets. They give children and adults a chance to meet farm animals, learn how to grow food and try out arts and crafts. Every Saturday, the Farm hosts a popular Farmer’s Market too! They certainly offer a lot and their seating was in need of an uplift… The farm's older outdoor chairs needed new cushions or had lost their cushions over time so this donation came at just the right time.
The chairs on site are used by a whole range of beneficiaries - from general visitors, to youth groups, to Food Growing Trainees, volunteers, and community groups…
Now they will all be that little bit more comfortable. Hooray!
Senior citizens choose the comfortable option
The United Anglo Caribbean Society (UACS) is a fantastic organisation that is working for senior citizens of all cultures within the wider communities, through a team of dedicated volunteers.UACS supports the elderly and vulnerable from isolation by providing a safe place to meet and socialise with a hot meal. They also deliver food parcels, keep in touch by telephone and offer newsletters with activities.
Activities at their Uxbridge site include gentle exercise, dominoes club, health workshops, day trips, celebration of cultural days, weekly bingo and a balanced 2 course Caribbean meal. Having comfortable seating for their elderly guests will make a huge difference and as Cathy Simeon, Chairwoman of UACS said when she got the good news that she had successfully reserved 50 seat cushions,
“...you have just made a group of elderly bottoms happy..!”
Theatre seating gets a welcome makeover
The Brockley Jack Theatre is a vibrant and intimate performance venue in south east London. Home to theatre productions, Scratch nights, film screenings, workshops and rehearsals, their award-winning team and space provide an accessible and exciting programme of arts activities throughout the year.
The theatre also supports new companies and theatre artists, providing a space for them to develop their ideas and work, alongside the productions created each year by the Jack’s in-house team.
After receiving a donation alert from Event Cycle, the team at Brockley Jack were quick to reserve 50 seat cushions to replace their tired theatre seating. The impact of Heart Productions' donation will be felt immediately… Having new padding for the in-house seats will really help keep the theatre customers comfortable whilst they enjoy the latest offerings that the Brockley Jack has to offer.
Children with Voices
Another amazing charity, Children with Voices, has helped improve the lives of many young people and their families since its beginnings through genuine care, love, and support.
Children With Voices will be using the 30 seat cushions they received in their garden space for chairs for the elderly to sit on as well as seats for the children they support, during their story time sessions.
Phoenix rises (and sits comfortably)
Phoenix Place Independent School for girls will also be benefiting from the donation by using the 100 cushions they received within school and also on benches/grass in the garden when they are carrying out outdoor lessons such as Art or leisure activities.
Kailesh Kumari, Director of Policy & Development at the school said,
“We can't thank you enough, as we are a not for profit school, we do not receive any central or local government funding, so this is amazing!"
Phoenix Place is a specialist school for students with social, emotional, mental health needs, SEN, attachment difficulties and/or additional complex needs.
International reach supporting classroom learning
And last but not least, Family Empowerment Network International (FENINT) supports vulnerable and disadvantaged people and families from multicultural backgrounds, and also offers support for a variety of issues faced across African nations.
ㅤ
In the Republic of Benin, FENINT organises women’s empowerment and income generating projects, women’s health projects and maternity homes. They have constructed a maternity home to provide a safe place for women to deliver their babies with water and sanitation (achieved by drilling community boreholes).
The 90 seat cushions they received is for project use in Africa the Republic of Benin, to be used within the Maternity health Centre, community centre and youth training centre. They also provide vocational training programs, and education support programs for primary and secondary school children, providing scholastic materials. It is at these schools where the children will benefit most from Heart Productions generous donation.
Big or small, quirky or regular… We help find new homes for lots of different items and the benefit to the charity, whether small or huge, makes life that little bit easier for them, allowing them to grow and do more for their community. #EventCycleIt
